Grants and Partnerships Officer

Emma supports the delivery of our Grants programme, providing front-line contact and help to assist voluntary and community groups to apply for funding. Her role involves the administration of funds and grants programmes and support with grants panels. Her working hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm.

Andy Kershaw

SYFAB Training Coordinator

Andy manages SYFAB’s training programme for community and voluntary groups and he also delivers some funding courses. This allows groups to learn funding skills and expertise to enable them to improve the lives of people in their communities. His working hours are Tuesday to Thursday.

Natalie Harrison

Natalie Harrison

Comms and Marketing Manager

Natalie is responsible for overseeing the communication and marking strategy for South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation. This includes the development and delivery of media relations activity to raise the profile of SYCF. She also looks after the Foundation’s social media accounts and website. Her working hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 3pm.

Lorna Lewis

SYFAB Barnsley Funding Development Worker

Lorna provides support to community groups in the Barnsley area, working with local partners to host funding surgeries which provide information and resources to help community organisations to grow. She is on hand to answer queries from community groups in the area. Her working days are Tuesday to Thursday.

Phoebe is a MA Journalism student at The University of Sheffield, who supports the communications and marketing team in a voluntary role. This includes liaising with grant recipients, coverage of SYCF events, and increasing outreach through media relations activity.

Business T-Level student

Sheffield College student Zach is completing a 45-day work experience placement as part of his Business T-Level course. Zach is supporting the Philanthropy and Grants teams, applying theoretical knowledge gained during his studies in a real-world setting, enhancing his understanding of the business environment and developing essential skills for his future career.

Melinda has over 25 experience in advertising and media and currently holds the position of Regional Sales Director at Bauer Media Yorkshire where she is skilled in negotiation, advertising/sponsorship sales, budgeting, business planning, marketing, management, and coaching.

Tim Bailey

A member of our investment committee, Tim has been involved in financial markets for more than three decades acting as a trusted adviser to wealthy individuals, business owners and families based in the UK and overseas. He is Portfolio Director at Cazenove Capital – a leading wealth manager and part of FTSE 100 asset manager, Schroders PLC.
