He’s a former Senior Partner at Wake Smith Solicitors in Sheffield and served as High Sheriff of South Yorkshire in 2007-8. Andrew Coombe, CVO, CStJ President Emeritus A former H.M. Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (2015-2021), Andrew is a retired chartered accountant and lawyer who has also served in the Territorial Army. He has a broad portfolio of charitable work, as a trustee to St Luke’s Hospice, Broomgrove Nursing Home, the Bluecoat Educational Trust and the Freshgate Foundation.
