Remembering William Warrack
South Yorkshire Community Foundation sends its deepest condolences to the family of William Warrack, a former Trustee, who passed away recently
During his ten years involvement with the Foundation, William was Vice-Chairman and active on several committees. He retired from the Board last year.
With over 40 years involvement with Cordwell Property Group as a director and using his extensive experience in business and property management, he was keen to help communities in South Yorkshire prosper through our grants programme.
William gave long service as a Trustee to the Foundation and was particularly helpful during our move to new premises at Riverside Works, bringing his property expertise to bear. William will be sadly missed by everyone here
Ruth Willis, South Yorkshire Community Foundation’s Chief Executive
Sheffield was the city he called home, a place where he studied (at Sheffield Polytechnic, now known as Sheffield Hallam University), broadened his social circles and meeting a woman named Melissa, who he would marry in 1975. They nurtured a strong home life with their three children Max, Polly and Freya.
Outside of his contribution to the Foundation and business endeavours, William had a keen interest in fishing, skiing, and field sports. His competitive nature shone on the golf course, leaving the clubhouse with bragging rights and the winnings.
Everyone at the South Yorkshire Community Foundation extends their sympathies with Melissa, Max, Polly and Freya at this difficult time.
