Meet our funders: Quickline
Quickline delivers internet services to rural and hard-to-reach communities across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
The company has secured four contracts under the government's Project Gigabit programme, aiming to further improve broadband connectivity access in these regions.
But Quickline is about more than just broadband. Social value is at the beating heart of its operations and is delivered through a dedicated QFutures programme.
Elisabeth Kamaris is Quickline’s Social Values Executive.

How do you support South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF)?
We’re really proud to have partnered with SYCF for two funding programmes.
We’ve invested in a new QFutures Community Fund which awards grants to projects and organisations addressing unemployment amongst the 30+ age category in the Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield areas.
On top of this, we’re also funding the continuation of SYCF’s really successful Moving On Up programme which is focused on improving the employability, skills and prospects of people in South Yorkshire, aged 30 and under.
The collaboration with SYCF forms a key element of our social values programme and demonstrates our commitment to the community.
Why is it important to you to support local communities?
Not only are we on a mission to connect rural areas to a world of opportunities online, but we’re also committed to making a real difference to the communities South Yorkshire people live and work in.
Our QFutures programme is designed to make a positive impact on communities by educating people, enriching lives and enhancing environments.
It does this in so many different ways – from supporting community events and making donations and sponsorships to providing connectivity to community hubs.
What do you love about South Yorkshire?
What I love most about South Yorkshire is the people. There’s a real spirit of working together and making a difference. The region is so diverse and constantly growing, with communities full of energy and opportunity. Whether it’s businesses, local groups, or individuals, everyone pulls together to create positive change. We are also lucky to have the best of both worlds—thriving towns and stunning countryside, with places like the Peak District right on our doorstep. It’s a great place to live and work!
What advice would you give to people who are thinking about supporting South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation?
It’s such a simple but powerful way to contribute to the well-being and development of local communities across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield.
What’s fantastic about working with South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation is that the organisation’s passion for making a positive difference aligns with our own ambitions to ensure the areas we serve benefit from more than just great internet speeds.
By supporting SYCF, you're investing in the future of South Yorkshire, helping to create vibrant and thriving communities for generations to come.
