This Fund, administered by South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, allows women nationwide to apply for a grant of up to £880 to ease financial difficulty and hardship.

What can the money be used for?

The money can be used to pay utility bills or for household items, but it cannot go towards anything that has already been paid for, or holidays.

The criteria

  • Over 40 years old
  • Single, divorced, or widowed women who are in need or hardship
  • Active members of a Church (view the full list on Churches Together’s website)

Supporting information required for the application

  • Bank statements
  • Copy of debt letter (where needed)
  • Quotes

How to apply

Before applying, please read the guidelines below as it explains the process such as the application form being required to be read and witnessed by a Member of the Church before submission. Our Grants team may contact the Minister for the Church for further details or speak with you to request more evidence.
