Projects and People we have funded

Using expertise and local knowledge developed over 25 years of grant delivery, the South Yorkshire Community Foundation makes targeted grants that make the maximum impact on communities.

We are a trusted partner, managing statutory funds, charitable funds and business funds as well as advising individual philanthropists.

Our team approach to matching applications to funding pots involves our professional fund managers, experienced volunteer panelists and trained assessors – between them they ensure we achieve the best results for our communities.

The image shows grants given within a three year period up to March 31, 2009.

We have funded a diverse and exciting range of groups that are tackling issues, changing lives and improving the future for the people of South Yorkshire.

From boxing clubs addressing anti-social behaviour issues to old peoples' lunch clubs addressing social isolation, and from drop-in centres tackling substance misuse to refugee centres working towards social cohesion, we are working with local people for a better South Yorkshire.

The extent of our local knowledge means that we can deliver funding to vital local groups that are tackling the issues that matter most in our local communities.
